Bad boy chef Chris Cosentino's restaurant Incanto, in San Francisco's Noe Valley, hosted a book reading last night from author Lisa Hamilton's. Hamilton's latest book, Deeply Rooted: Unconventional Farming in the Age of Agribusiness (buy at Amazon), is both a clear-eyed look at the small-scale farmer's place in contemporary American society, and a case for recalibrating their position and movement to reclaim the influence and value they once had.
